Push-To-Talk: Disabled (Default) or Enabled (Use the Key Mapping menu to set the push to talk button). Although, my headset has an adapter (which came with it) for the controller that houses buttons for game volume, chat volume, and a mute button which is what I use in place of a dedicated push to talk bind on the actual controller. best audio experience with any in-game settings. I know where all the buttons are so I dont need the audio aspect but it takes so long to type. Step 3: Next you go to your Steam library/ Click on Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege(dont click twice it will start the game)/ on the right there should be Controller settings at the bottom under LINKS, click that(if you dont see that restart the first steps)/ with your mouse go click the button you want to bind your push to talk(click again on the button if you dont see the keyboard)/ SHOW ACTIVATORS (Bottom right) / BINDING (EX.: B button) / with your mouse still, choose the key bind on the keyboard that is meant for push to talk( EX.: V)/ Add activator/ Binding(should be blank)/ again with your mouse click on the button(EX.:B) from the controller beside the keyboard/ and you are done if you have any problems contact me I will be glad to help you out! Id love to have push to talk as an option on controllers for sure, would help in those sneaky sneaky situations. I can’t seem to find a good bind for push to talk on xbox controller because all the other buttons are already being used. Step 2: Once you've done this you need to turn off the big picture overlay so you go to steam/settings/ingame/uncheck big picture overlay.(the second box from the above)/ok, C and V are sometimes used for in-game keybinds so be sure to re-bind in games that use it. ![]() Located just above the spacebar, C and V are great options for push to talk, easily reachable with your left thumb and low interference with other software. After you have it as your default option, make sure it has the proper sound volumes by right-clicking it in the options and setting the headset microphone level to a desirable level, or higher than it is initially set.Step 1: In steam click on steam(top left)/settings/controller/general controller settings/check your controller ex.: Xbox Configuration support, if you use a Playstation controller,by now, check Playstation Configuration support/back/ The V button is the best push to talk key for people who don’t like the side buttons when aiming. Consider getting the PS4 attachment that gives you two buttons on the back of your controller. You can modify what microphone or audio device is your default choice by going to your taskbar, clicking the sound settings, select the recording option, choose the microphone you want to use and select it as the default setting. Idk about console but on pc you can bind a button to toggle mute your mic and leave it on open mic so you just press the button once to unmute to say whatever then press it again to mute your mic when you’re done. The next step is to ensure the microphone you want to use is the default one. If you continue to see a speech bubble above the player’s name while playing the game, and can hear them fine, but still have problems, another solution might work better. Make sure Sea of Thieves is one of the available applications allowed to use a microphone, and then try to see if the game will enable you to speak to other players. You can do this by searching for “privacy settings” in your Windows search bar, and go to the “Microphone” option. Those encountering problems with the voice chat settings or when attempting to speak to other players, attempt to close the game and change your computer’s microphone settings. ![]()
